Grow in Faith and Love...

Today, was Jordan's Baptism...
At First Presbyterian Church (where Jason and I were married)..
He was a super good boy and everyone loved him.
There was no photography allowed..
so, I'm sorry mom and dad :-/
I don't get to show you the pictures I promised.
But I tried to capture a little bit.

Jordan, we are so proud of you little man !!

I'm thankful, for days at the pool.

Today was bright and sunny. A perfect day to take a dip at the pool.

Today, I'm thankful for babies in diapers.

I'm thankful for playful dragonflies.
For soaking up sunshine.

For cute diaper bag accessories.

For summer inspired patterns.
For stroller peep holes.

For make-up-less days.
For sleeping babies.

For cute accessories.

For teeny swim trunks.
For whatever he is doing with his feet.
For my husband and sister in law, trying to do the crab.

For blooming flowers.

For my precious baby.
For my family.

For what sunscreen does to Jordan's hair.
For mini belly buttons.

For curiosity.
For bonding moments.

For my husband, NOT losing his wedding ring in the pool.

For sunshine peek-a-boo.
For cute shoes.

For baby feet.
For my shhhhhiiiisterrr.
For this sweet little face.

This excites me.

Because life with a baby is very busy.. and I never want to miss a precious moment...
a lot of my ideas, inspirations, and wishes...
get lost in moments of mommyisms.

I also am a subscriber to way too many magazines.
(Better Homes & Gardens, and Good Housekeeping being my faves)
When I sift, carefully, page by page... I make little mental notes..
'oooh that recipe looks great!'
'wow I'd love to try that'..
'I could totally make that'..

and my wishes...
'I'd love to go there'...
'one day, I want to create this porch'...
GET THE POINT?
so.
I end up with a very large, dusty, pile of magazines.
Because, I can't throw it away! There are 2 recipes in there I want to make!

Well, no more.
I created my own little euphoria. A land where I can cut and paste, make notes, blue print my crafts, engrave the perfect recipe.. and store my wishes.
A journal, for me.

But of course, the journal selection at Walmart, was less than satisfactory.
So, I bought some Mod Podge, and had to work with what I could find, since my craft items are packed.
(and I REALLY wanted to dig out my ditress ink)...
The pink flower journal, was not my style.
So..
I fixed it.
Since it will be on my desk at all times, I had to make something worth looking at.

Here's a little look, on the inside.
at one of my pages.

Below is a little blue print, of a craft I'd love to try.

This book is going to grow, very quickly.

MMMMM mmmmm, hilarious.

Although today started out a little stressful...
this night made up for it, completely.

Jordan has had a monster appetite lately.
He's almost sitting up alone now...
and certainly does just fine with a bit of help.
He's been a little more interested in food lately, staring away when it's infront of him.

I went to Walmart.. on a mission for a journal, when I said to myself (don't worry, not out loud)..
I think it's time for a little rice cereal.
So I wandered into the land of Gerber, and sweet little baby spoons.

Jason and I were both excited to give little man his first bite, of something a little different.
These pictures say it all.
And trust me, I wanted to post about 20 more.

MY FAVORITE.

He was so interested, in that spoon.

Still giving it a good try.
hmmmmm.. maybe this isn't so bad?
So sweet.....

Okay, I'm about over this, dad.

Let mom try.

He did pretty good with the whole, open up, concept.
All done :)
