Delish.
So, in our efforts to eat better, I have officially made the cookbooks my mother got me, my new best friend.
After sifting through many pages, trying to find recipes that my picky husband might like, I successfully completed my first week, of all, home cooked meals. Yes, I'm proud of myself.
2 recipes in particular came out awesome.
Crock pot, bbq pulled pork, and pineapple ham casserole.
So I must share at least one recipe.
PINEAPPLE HAM CASSEROLE
2 cups, uncooked wide egg noodles
2 tablespoons of butter, divided
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
3/4 cup milk
2 cups fully cooked ham
2 cans (8 ounces each) crushed pineapple, drained
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
Cook noodles & drain. In a large skillet, stir in cream cheese, milk, and 1 tbsp butter, stir until cheese is melted. Add the noodles, ham, pineapple, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir.
Transfer into an ungreased, 1-1/2 qt. baking dish. Melt remining butter; toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350, for 30-35 minutes.
I'm a cream cheese lover, which made me really love this dish.
Not to mention, my favorite- IT'S EASY!!
:)
enjoy!!!

Jordan visits Dad.
Thursday, April 22, 2010
I shall call this, "I'm giddy Thursday."

Besides the fact that I've been whining about it since Jordan's been born, seeing that picture of booger and I sleeping together, made me want more. I take so many pictures of him, and people with him. But since I'm the one behind the camera...
this means I'm hardly IN the pictures.
So, I showered.
Yes, I managed to shower today, before Jason got off of work. (haha).
Actually brushed my hair and put on make up ! Woo !!
I even painted my toes, which reminds me, I forgot to take a feet picture.
I took out my trusty tri-pod, which continues to be one of my favorite investments.. and put on my creative cap.
My apartment complex really has some neat looking walls.. that make perfect, natural backrounds for pictures!
The ones below were taken, down in a deep stairwell.. but the discusting mold growing down the walls adds to the picture, I think.

A little bit of this and that.

then I stumbled into this store I'd like to call Mommy Heroine, better known as CARTERS..
and Carters.. must have known I was coming, because they had a sale :)
And everyone knows, a mommy cannot resist a baby clothes sale!

How stinkin adorable are these?! Infant sunglasses. He is so going to rock these on our trip to FLORIDA :)

Heartbroken.
Last night, the family decided that it would be better, if another family-member-mom, took care of Jordan instead of me.
Don't get me wrong, I was doing a great job as a mom, but it was decided, with no choice of mine, that he be taken from me, immediately, and on to a new family. My snugly, sweet, innocent boy, was taken from my arms, I didn't even get to say goodbye.
I firmly believe, he did not agree, with this decision.
My heart ACHED, in ways that I cannot explain. Anxiety rolled into my life like a hurricane, there was no stopping it, and catastrophe was all that remained in store for my emotions.
It was then decided, that to replace Jordan, we would be given a little girl, as our child. She was 4 years old.
If you haven't caught on yet, yes, this was a dream, I had last night.
I remember feeling SO upset, that I was adopting this child, at 4 years old. I WANTED to be a part of the "baby years".. and how could someone take that away from me? Of course, the whole time, still missing my OWN baby.. and trying to figure out how I was going to get him back. Still anxious, that I was missing even one second, of his life, as a baby.
I told Jason about this dream this morning. In mid May, we're supposed to be going on a weekend trip, with friends, to a cabin in the mountains. This would make trip number three, that I would be joining this group trip. But this year, is different. We have Jordan! And as I know he will be in good hands, with his grandparents, of course, I'm extremely anxious about leaving him. How can he be without me for even a night?! For more than a few hours? He's still such a little guy! I read a lot of magazines. I read a lot of mom blogs. And one thing I seem to run into, over and over, is to make time for yourself. Make time for your marriage. Make time for your husband.. and all of this has one thing in common. That time, is ALONE- without your little one. Allowing yourself, to let your precious little one, to remain in the care with your trusted loved ones, and have some good ole before baby time.
So, that's why I agreed, to go, for 2 nights, to the cabin. I knew that I would worry, about leaving my baby. But this is now the THIRD dream I've had, that involves my son being ripped from my arms. Is this the reason, I'm having these dreams?!
This morning, as I woke up to his tiny little squeaks, kicking feet, bright eyes, and miniature smiles.. all I could do was pick him up, take him in, and hug him... and squeeze him as hard as I could without squishing him :)
One thing is certain, I would do anything, ANYTHING, for this little boy. I am so addicted to him, no amount of rehab would allow me to recover. I have to have my daily fix, of my precious son.

What's this? blog number two for the day!

So, out of boredom, and trying to keep my mind occupied with Jason away, I decided to give my bathroom a facelift :)
on a budget of less than $150...
SO..
here it is. I will admit, I was NOT HAPPY at first with the wall color, but now that it's together, I am starting to enjoy it :)

TADA~!

What's the best way to save money when re-decorating??
MAKE your OWN wall art ... so I did.
This one below, happened on accident. (haha)..
But really.. I finished it, but it was SO saturated with paint..
let me start over.
First, I layered this canvas with paint colors, of my choice. Then, I ran it under the faucet, with the water running very softly, and let it wash away some of the paint. Which gave it a really neat effect. But.. the canvas was pretty wet. So.. I decided to dab it, with a paper towel. The paint ended up taking the print from the paper towel, and I think it looks really neat! haha :)
Sometimes mistakes are wonderful!
