I love his sippy cup face.
In less than 1 week, this little boy will be turning one.
Everyday he amazes me in the littlest big ways.
Tonight we went to Tijuana Flats for dinner...
because gramma thought it would be nice to sit outside, and let little guy enjoy what he seems to love.. being OUTdoors.
So we did just that.
Where he ate like a gentleman in his highchair (we've REALLY been working on this)...
he waved hello to the girls sitting behind us..
and he grabbed his sippy cup whenever he was thirsty and took in a long, satisfying drink of cold water.
We're still working on putting the cup down on the table, instead of throwing it on the floor when he's done.
The little things..
When he takes it upon himself to get a drink...
When he spins his baby nail clippers on the table because he likes to watch it go round and round...
When he reaches into the forbidden craft bin because he knows exactly which one stores the stuff he wants to touch...
When he wants my attention and runs over to me so I will pull him into my lap...
When we're shopping at Target and he puts both hands up and gives me puppy eyes because he wants to be in my arms and out of that cart...
When he laughs after he farts...
When we got out of the car today.. he toddled up the driveway into gamma's house.
he made it up the front step, carefully..
and inside to greet Wrigley with a smile.
He's growing up... and it is SO awesome to watch it all happen.
Tonight, I looked at my mom and said, I am officially excited that the season has changed.
I want to take this kid to the beach.
To the park.
To the pool.
I want to PLAY.
