I'm getting the hang of this.

:)

Today, Jordan is 3 weeks old. I can't believe it. I feel like we just brought him home. I was quite overwhelmed for a while, ok I was really overwhelmed for a while.. with exhaustion and emotions, both of which I think I've got a better grip on now.

--------------------------------------------------

Not sure how this will change, or if it's really a "routine" .. but it seems I can count on little guy falling asleep around 11 or 12 pm... he wakes up around 3-4 am to eat, which requires an hour of time to feed him and lull him back to sleep. Then, he's up again around 6-7, in time to eat again and say bye to daddy as he leaves for work.

--------------------------------------------------

I am taking advantage of the morning nap time, once he goes down, I pass out too, and catch up from the night time awakenings (where I sink into my living room couch, flip on the tv, and watch whatever crap is on at 4 am).

--------------------------------------------------

During the day, I'm usually lost in HGTV, unless there is a movie on. Jordan and I snuggle on the couch, since his favorite thing seems to be laying his head on my shoulder, or being propped up on my shoulder as he tries to be a big boy and lift his head and look around. If it's nice outside, we take walks around the apartment and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

--------------------------------------------------

Around 4 pm, we get really anxious because we know daddy will be off soon :)

Dinner time is followed by family snuggle time.. and our new obsession with Netflix, American Idol, and LOST.

--------------------------------------------------

Somewhere in there, I brush my teeth, take a shower, and pee.

--------------------------------------------------

Thank God Jason doesn't mind helping me with laundry and dishes ;)

--------------------------------------------------

Being "HOME" has a whole new meaning, which we are still defining, and I love every minute of it...
